In Van Gogh Sites Foundation, five local heritage organizations work together throughout Brabant. With the help of a large group of volunteers, they are committed to maintaining and making heritage accessible to interested parties. Many of these volunteers are passionate Van Gogh experts who bring the Brabant period of Vincent to life with their stories.
VisitBrabant implements the marketing and communication policy of the Van Gogh Sites Foundation. In order to raise the international profile of heritage sites, we work closely with NBTC Holland marketing. Van Gogh Sites Foundation is also initiator and part of the European network of heritage sites Van Gogh Europe and partner in Van Gogh National Park i.o.
Vincent van Gogh was born in Zundert on March 30, 1853. In addition to the permanent exhibition, Van Gogh Zundert also shows contemporary work inspired by Van Gogh.
Vincent lived in Tilburg for about a year and a half, where he studied drawing at the HBS.With the New Vincent, Vincent's Tekenlokaal in Tilburg's Spoorzone provides a talent development program among elementary school students.
It was in Etten that Vincent van Gogh first registered as a painter in 1881. Here he also had his first real drawing studio. The Van Gogh Foundation in Etten organizes temporary exhibitions in the Van Gogh Church in addition to its permanent presentation.
The Noordbrabants Museum has a collection of original Van Gogh works and organizes exhibitions on the painter's work and life, as well as directing the expert team for content improvement in the presentation of Vincent's life story.
It was in Nuenen that Van Gogh painted his first masterpiece, The Potato Eaters. Van Gogh Village Nuenen has the most extensive Van Gogh heritage with the exhibition in the Van Gogh Village Museum and 24 monuments, so the largest expansion will be realized in Nuenen.
There are other municipalities in Brabant with Van Gogh Monuments. Some of them are committed to making local Van Gogh heritage available to visitors. Although they are not yet partners in the Van Gogh Sites Foundation, they are already working together.

VisitBrabant is the marketing organization for Destination Brabant, focused on enticing the (inter)national shortbreak market (short breaks). With a variety of marketing activities VisitBrabant actively contributes to product development to achieve sustainable growth.
NBTC Holland Marketing is responsible for the positioning, development and marketing of Holland at home and abroad. Through the 'Holland' brand, NBTC puts the Netherlands on the map as an attractive destination for vacations, business meetings and conferences.
Van Gogh Brabant forms the Van Gogh Europe initiative along with heritage sites in Belgium and France. Three countries, six museums, nine heritage sites and fourteen cities are working together within Van Gogh Europe to preserve, develop and share the legacy of Vincent van Gogh.
