Art makes life interesting and is of great value to society. It connects people without words.

You can pass on your love for culture in the form of a legacy, giving you the unique opportunity to ensure the future of the cultural institution you love. In this way, you ensure that you pass on to future generations the art form that you cherish and that inspires you.

How does bequeathing to culture work?
If you are considering including a cultural institution in your will, you want to be well informed about it. For example, do you know that in addition to your loved ones and charities, you can also bequeath an amount to culture? That you can give a destination to your legacy? That a cultural institution with ANBI status is exempt from gift and inheritance tax?

Bequests to Van Gogh Sites Foundation.

The places where Van Gogh worked and lived, which he recorded in his sketches and paintings or wrote about, help us understand his work and interpret its significance. Many of these sites have disappeared or been degraded over time, because little attention was paid to them. Through its activities, Van Gogh Sites Foundation draws attention to the value of these sites and builds support for their preservation.

How to support?
To realize its goal, Van Gogh Sites Foundation depends on gifts and donations. We are therefore looking for the support of individuals, companies and funds.

This will enable us to purchase and protect Van Gogh Monuments, create exhibitions and carry out educational programs. We would be happy to discuss with you what the purpose of your legacy might be and, if you wish, we can set up a named fund.

If you donate to Van Gogh Sites Foundation, you can obtain certificates of shares in Van Gogh Sites NV. These certificates can be transferred to next of kin. In this way, proof of ownership of the Van Gogh heritage can remain in the family. How special and valuable that is!

With 40 Van Gogh Monuments, exhibitions at heritage sites and educational programs, the Van Gogh Sites Foundation passes on the significance of one of the world's greatest artists to future generations.

From Van Gogh Brabant, the organization bundles and strengthens the activities of local foundations and museums in North Brabant:

Through the acquisition of and investment in Van Gogh heritage sites and the implementation of educational programs, Van Gogh Sites Foundation works toward its mission of enhancing the significance of Vincent van Gogh for the Netherlands.
