New Vincentre building reaches highest point

Nuenen, Sept. 30, 2022.

Today the new building of Museum Vincentre in Nuenen reaches its highest point. A beautiful milestone in the development of the heritage site into a museum with more exhibition space, improved facilities and a completely new exhibition.

With the reaching of the highest point, the renovation enters its next phase: starting October 17, Museum Vincentre will temporarily close its doors to visitors. Guided tours and lectures can still be booked in the coming months. Van Gogh lovers can also visit other heritage sites in Brabant: Van Gogh Church in Etten-Leur, Vincent van GoghHuis in Zundert and the Van Gogh presentation in Het Noordbrabants Museum.

Proud construction team
A proud construction team, together with the board of directors of Vincentre and several volunteers, stood still today at this important milestone. The years of preparation and coordination are paying off now that it appears that the construction is going according to plan. Simone van der Heiden (Vincentre museum director): 'Thanks to the tireless efforts of this team, in which designers, builders and volunteers work together side by side, this major operation is going according to plan. We are very grateful that the municipality and local residents also support our project.'

Ready for the future
With the renovation and expansion of Museum Vincentre, Nuenen is ready for the future. The new Vincentre is expected to attract more visitors from the surrounding area, as well as nationally and internationally. In order to properly welcome the new guests, Vincentre has started a recruitment drive to strengthen the current team of 165 volunteers.

Those interested in the life and work of Vincent van Gogh and who wish to share their own interest and knowledge with others will feel particularly at home in the new Vincentre.
